DeanSprocketHi, I’m Dean, the owner, pictured here with the boss “Sprocket” the Spaniel. You’ll normally find me hard at work whilst the Spaniel relaxes by one of the workshop doors looking out over the car park dreaming of chicken Bonios.

I’ve been in the motor industry since leaving school many years ago, I’m not saying but it’s over 20 now!

I qualified from college where I studied automotive engineering, leaving with distinction in city and guilds and NVQ3 in vehicle mechanical and electrical systems, both light and heavy.

I started out in what could only be described an “old school” environment working with what we call now “real” mechanics who could actually repair anything! These guy’s didn’t know the meaning of the word “can’t” as that was an excuse, I was told. Being taught this way paid off in the end, although at the time steam cleaning lorries for MOT in the snow was enough to make me want to pack the apprentice thing in! However I stuck it out and it’s definately given me the right attitude to proceed with.

After spending years working in this industry in many different environments from HGV commercials, car and van dealerships, main dealer agents and the automobile association further extending my qualifications which have all added to broaden my knowledge of vehicles and aiding me in my chosen profession where I still find myself dedicating most of my time to servicing and repairing vehicles, keeping vehicles tip top and safe! However, I don’t steam clean lorries in the snow anymore!

So if your in need of a good mechanic that won’t let you down then I’d like to think that I’m your man, making Town & Country the garage for you.

Perhaps we’ll see you soon.
